Yuu Tanaka (棚架ユウ) is the author and creator of Reincarnated as a Sword. He has also authored other works, namely A Late-Start Tamer's Laid-Back Life (出遅れテイマーのその日暮らし, Deokure Tamer no Sono Higurashi) and デッキひとつで異世界探訪.
In the first volume of the light novel, he states in the afterword that it was his dream to become a novelist.
