Divine Swords

The Divine Swords (神剣, Shinken), or God Blades, are the most famous and powerful weapons in the world, created by divine blacksmiths. Divine Sword are nigh-indestructible, but they could still be destroyed by a god, divine blacksmith, or in a battle between Divine Swords. If a Divine Sword is destroyed by the order of a god, there is no chance that it could continue existing. Even if its outer body still survives, it would not have its original abilities. A total of 26 Divine Swords can ever exist at the same time.

The divine blacksmiths of the known God Blades are:

• Ulmer - so far 9 swords are known, 4 of them destroyed.

• Dionysus - so far 4 swords are known, 1 of them destroyed.

• Ermella - so far 3 swords are known, 1 of them destroyed.

• Folkan - so far 2 swords are known

• Kruselka - so far 2 swords are known

• Fargo - so far 2 swords are known

The blacksmith of one of the swords is unknown, possibly Fargo.

The blacksmiths of two swords are completely unknown, although they were possibly forged by the same divine blacksmith.

When the user is fully recognized by his/her Divine Sword, s/he will gain the Extra Skill "Divine Sword Release (神剣開放, Shinken Kaihō)", which allows the user to unleash the full power of the Divine Sword. In their unleashed state, the already formidable Divine Swords would receive a huge boost in raw status and change their name and shape, while the user would gain access to the tremendous power and skills sealed within. However, unleashing the Divine Swords comes with their own heavy costs.

Fanatic	The Blade of Zealotry	Fanatic is a sword that connects people together in spirit. It has the ability to force the mind of the person they dominate to integrate into themselves, , but also maintain a connection to their original bodies. As a result, the body may appear to be a separate organism in motion individually, but the soul inside is in fact the soul of the owner of the Fanatic. Destroyed in the fight against Holy Order.	Ability to assimilate the mind of the person that got cut by its blade. It could also gives skills to the person that it dominated, which included unique and extra skills. The swordsmanship and magic skill that it give out could be replenished easily, but other skills that it could give out is limited and it could lose these skills if they are given out. Moreover, it has the ability to force the dominated person to be in release potential skill-like state, but it cannot deactivate this state and the dominated person would definitely die after this state end. Discarded Divine Swords

Discarded Divine Swords (廃棄神剣, Haiki Shinken) are swords failed to become divine swords, or swords created from destroyed divine swords. They have the capacity akin to divine swords, but are usually much weaker in terms of skills and attack power. Moreover, they don't have a released state. Zecks was a notable divine blacksmith that only produced Discarded Divine Swords.

• Divine Swords forged by the same divine smith often share some similar characteristics.
  • Ulmer's swords are associated with elements and divinity.
  • Dionysus' swords are associated with demons and the consequences of their influence on the human mind. They often come with nefarious costs that reflect the dark side of humanity.
  • Fargo's swords have a connection with mythical creatures.
  • Ermella's swords seem to reflect her desire to know the secrets of this world.
  • Kruselka's swords seem to show the beautiful things the world can offer.
  • Folkan's swords are associated with a group of creatures and the wielder's control over them. In exchange, the wielder turns into one of these creatures.
• Despite being called Divine "Swords", not all of them are actually swords. When unleashed, most of them would not maintain the shape of swords.
  • Chariot is a baton. When unleashed, it morphs into a giant robot manned by the user.
  • Diablos is a womb fused with its user.

• Alpha is the only Divine Sword known to not change shape after being unleashed (as of Web 1175).
• It is postulated that the name of the 26 Divine Swords correspond to the 26 alphabets.
• All Divine Swords are made from Orichalcos, which differs from Orichalcum in the story.
